Then we would never die, and the earth would get completely destroyed in a very short amount of time, killing us all anyway. Or we would kill each other fighting for resources. And I would rather live with diabetes than be killed in war.

I believe it is mercy for humanity that illnesses exist, so the earth can still continue to hold us, and humanity as a whole can continue to survive.

And just because we don't know the cure now, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. We just need to find it, like we have found for thousands of other illnesses.
