Allowing myself to feel sad and cry without feeling guilty about it has been the hardest thing to learn as well. It feels like we are showing displeasure about life, but it's not like that at all. There is a reason why Allah blessed us with tears, because they are healing for the soul. And the fact that we can cry and still have our full trust in Allah, is the biggest sign of being pleased with Him no matter what. It's easy to say "I trust Allah's plan" when things are going well. But saying it when nothing is going well, that's really true faith.

Do people think once they say, “We believe,” that they will be left without being put to the test? We certainly tested those before them. And ˹in this way˺ Allah will clearly distinguish between those who are truthful and those who are liars. (29:2-3)
